| The Strafford Town Transfer Station operates year round at its facility on Ricky Nelson Road. |
Household Waste
In disposing of your household waste, please be aware of the following:
- Household waste MUST be separated from construction waste.
- Household hazardous wastes including (but not limited to) turpentine, oil based paints, cleaning fluids, caustics, poisons, and pesticides are not accepted at the Transfer Station. Please refer back to this site for the next Hazardous Waste Disposal Day at Turnkey Landfill in Rochester.
- Roof Shingles and Used Motor Oil are NOT ACCEPTED at the Transfer Station. Please contact Waste Management for further information.
Transfer Station/Recycling Fees (effective May 11, 2011)
Certain items incur additional costs for disposal. A nominal fee is charged to cover the expense to the Town for these items. Please see an attendant at the station before depositing the following:
